Acquisition of Adriano Barbosa Azevedo

Today Panalon, S.A., through its subsidiary Panalon Silo Tank, S.L.U. has formalised the acquisition of a majority stake in the Portuguese company Adriano Barbosa de Azevedo, Lda.
Commercially known as ABA Transportes, it is a company specialised in the powder and granulates sector, with more than 25 years of history, a fleet of 30 units that provide services for the main polyolefin manufacturers both in the Iberian Peninsula and internationally. It is one of the main operators in the neighbouring country in this niche activity.
ABA is located in Barcouço (Mealhada) where its facilities include offices, parking, maintenance and cleaning station.
It is made up of a staff of 35 professionals, who will continue to develop their work in this new stage, with Luis Manuel Pereira da Costa at the helm as he has done up to now, continuing with the management of the company and linked to it as a shareholder for a period of time.
Our strategy is to grow and consolidate positions in Portugal, a country with a great development, good evolution and perspectives and a promising industrial and professional environment.
We are convinced that this operation will give us a significant boost to this specific business, and will also help us to strengthen and expand our other activities in the region.
The professional team, the operational and commercial synergies, together with the management structure, the innovation, as well as the industrial and technological capacity of Panalon, will make it possible for the final result to be beneficial for all, and especially for our customers.
